A trio of Celtic knot nesting baskets

These rustic nesting rope Celtic knot bowls make a lovely gift, ideal for a birthday, wedding or housewarming. 
Theyvhave been hand woven from one piece of four strand jute rope, using a traditional nautical knot. I have manipulated these knots to create a unique centrepiece that will add texture and neutral tone to most home decors, such as Scandinavian, modern rustic or coastal style. They look great as well as being useful storage. When not in use, they stow away neatly together and still look good!
These baskets can be used as a fruit bowls, bread baskets, toiletries or for your favourite beach pebbles!
They could be given as the bases of extra special hamper baskets for a birthday or wedding. One that will be very useful afterwards!
We love the look of ancient Celtic knots and this knot reminds us of their intricate patterns.
It is handmade using natural marine four strand jute rope, which is strengthened by stitching the turns together using a sailmaker's palm and twine. This keeps it all 'shipshape'. I do not use any type of glue, just hidden stitches.
